Ellie Lyons (b. 2001, Tyler, Texas) is a curator and art historian currently based in Chicago, IL. She is a MA candidate in Modern & Contemporary Art History at the School of the Art Institute, where she works as a Curatorial Assistant for SAIC Galleries. Her passion lies in crafting connections through art and arts programming, prioritizing accessibility and inclusivity for all. Her research interests include self-taught and folk art as well as American art of the 1930s, looking toward the past to understand how federal support for the arts can look today. In her free time, Ellie enjoys spending time with her two cats, playing the flute, and practicing archery with North Side Archery Club in Chicago.
