Michael Victor Rubinos is a Chicago-based art historian and curator, pursuing his MA in Modern and Contemporary Art History at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). His research interests surround modern visualizations of bodily difference and their contemporary afterlives in our postcolonial world. For Michael, art is a powerful tool for fostering cultural critique, community-building, and cross-cultural dialogue. Through his curatorial practice, he aims to uplift artists in his community and encourage public engagement with the arts.
